Baltimore International College offers two bachelor's degrees in hospitality, the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, and the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with a Marketing Concentration. Both degrees give students a solid foundation in the hospitality and culinary industries, as well as the fundamentals of running and managing a business.
Upon completion of either degree, students will be prepared to start careers working in hotels and resorts, bed and breakfast operations, tourism, restaurants, catering and banquet services, or institutional foodservices. The bachelor's degrees offer specialized courses that give students a competitive edge in the industry, with a variety of choices for the Hospitality Management degree and marketing options for the Hospitality Management degree with a Marketing Concentration. The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management is four-year, eight-semester program offering concentrations in Hospitality Management or Marketing. The program follows a traditional two-semester schedule with semesters beginning in the fall and spring. It is designed for students seeking careers as managers in the diverse, fast-paced and rapidly changing hospitality industry. The curriculum emphasizes management of hotels, bed and breakfast operations, restaurants, and institutional foodservice operations. It provides opportunities for future hospitality professionals to build leadership and management abilities, critical thinking skills, problem solving techniques, financial analysis skills, and customer service skills.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management offers specialized courses that provide the student with an important credential to obtain employment in management and supervisory positions with the opportunity for advancement to upper-level management positions or in a restaurant, hotel, resort, food manufacturer, or travel agency.
Students starting after Fall 2007 are required to study for five weeks at the Virginia Park campus in Ireland, which is included in tuition. If a student is unable to study at BIC's Ireland campus, that student must submit in writing to the Director of Culinary Arts Instruction that studying in Ireland would be a hardship. If a true hardship is determined, then that student will be placed into a five-week practicum in the local Baltimore area.

Students in International Special Events and Meeting Management will focus their studies in hospitality management on the role and scope of events in the hospitality industry, as well as the process of planning, organizing, and managing events. Students will study the principles and issues concerning the nature, identification, and mitigation of risk at special events. They will also gain practical insights into the considerable diversity of types of meetings and conventions, the types of organizations that require such events, and the services they may render to officials who represent these organizations for the purposes of site selection, program and agenda development, and membership and affiliation.
